Ryan M. Long is an Associate at Ween & Kozek who works on both litigation and transactional matters. Mr. Long's practice at Ween & Kozek generally includes drafting pretrial motions, conducting discovery, and appearing before the court on behalf of the firm's clients, as well as work on the transactional side, including drafting and research.

Before joining Ween & Kozek, Mr. Long gained valuable experience as a commercial litigator in the New York office of Venable LLP, where he conducted complex legal research, writing, and review for a variety of high-profile cases including private equity disputes, employee stock buy-backs, and employment law for clients ranging from large corporations and holding companies to government agencies. Mr. Long has a demonstrated commitment to providing pro bono legal services in the community and has proven himself to be a dedicated advocate on behalf of asylum-seekers fleeing persecution.

Mr. Long earned his Juris Doctor at New York University School of Law where he was a Mortimer Bishop Scholar and served as a Senior Staff Editor on the Journal of Law and Liberty. During law school, Mr. Long worked for the Alaska Department of Law, Civil Division in Juneau supporting the Assistant Attorneys General in representing the State with challenging research regarding local issues.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Long worked as a reporter in Alaska, handling all aspects of local news. This experience led to his continued pursuits of writing, photography, hiking, and rock climbing.
